Annual Pumpkin Painting Party

Last week I hosted my Annual Pumpkin Painting Party for my girlfriends, and I thought I’d share a few snippets from our little shindig. While I think more wine was consumed than pumpkins painted, it was such a fun night and a tradition I always look forward to!

Years ago, I started collecting black milk glass and it’s gorgeous for Halloween!  These tall glasses made the perfect vases for little fall floral arrangements scattered around the house.

Martha Stewart’s Halloween craft supplies are a force to be reckoned with, and I make sure that I stock up on these devilishly darling wine labels every year.  They simply adhere to any bottle of wine, instantly turning your Cab Sav into ‘Blood Thirsty Brew.’

Since pumpkin painting takes place in the garage [i.e. on concrete], I thought plastic cups would be a much safer option than wine glasses.  I crafted these little signs and had everyone write their name on their ‘goblets.’

Am I not an amazing poet, or what?

I used a lot of the same table decor as last year, but added some of black tapered candles in vintage brass candlesticks as my ‘centerpiece.’ I love this look so much that I’ve been burning the candles every night since…and now they’re tiny wax nubbins…which makes me sad.

My friend Lauren painted two pumpkins: gold polka dots and blinged out “P.” Both turned out super cute! And will last through Halloween [per my previous post :)]
Tory painted a spooky tree and later finished it off with some glittered skull stickers.  At the top of the picture is Stephanie’s ‘studly’ pumpkin she made using tacks. That’s it! I hope everyone has a fabulous and safe Halloween!
