This morning I was back at Good Day Austin sharing some simple summer DIY entertaining ideas. I like to call this segment, ‘Playing with Your Food,’ as each project featured uses food in fun and unconventional ways. In case you missed this morning’s segment, click below for the video. Be sure to scroll down for more information about each project!

SPRAY PAINTED PINEAPPLES
I couldn’t be more in love with this project. Not only does it include my favorite medium of all time, spray paint, but the end result is super chic and will certainly have your guests talking. I was so inspired by Kelly Golightly’s Pineapple Lawn Bowling post, that I had to try it for myself. Not only do these make for a great outdoor game, but they make amazing centerpieces and party decor. I’m now determined that all fruit should be painted gold. [They DO make edible spray paint!]
WATERMELON DRINK DISPENSER
Another conversation piece at your next gathering will definitely be this watermelon drink dispenser. To get the ‘scoop’ [see what I did there?], check out this morning’s earlier post.
POTATO-STAMPED COASTERS + NAPKINS
This project is super easy and a great one to get the kids involved in, plus they’ll go great with that fancy new watermelon drink dispenser you just made. Are you sensing a theme? For the the details and step-by-step instructions, check out my post here!
