Cheers to 2018!

Master Bathroom ‘AFTER’ (full post to come soon!)

Well, I think we can all agree that 2017 was a dumpster fire of a year–right?!  As we embark on the beginning of a new year, I can’t help but be hopeful for better things to come.  I’m embracing the fact that 2017 didn’t kill me, it just made me stronger–albeit a little more distrusting of people–but stronger nonetheless.  2017 was a year that almost broke all of us, but it didn’t.  We came out on the other side, maybe with a few more bumps and bruises than we started with, but with champagne in hand, we’re toasting to the promise of a new year.

Last year, I had full intentions of posting remodel updates, room ideas, and some epic ‘BEFORE & AFTERS.’ But shit happened, and that didn’t happen. However, now that the remodel is DONE [praise tiny baby Jesus], I’ve regained a portion of my sanity, and the holidays have come and gone, prepare for way more content in 2018.  As I start to put together an editorial calendar [which, as a good blogger, I should have done a long time ago…], what do y’all want to see?!  DIYs? Decorating posts? Product Round Ups? How Tos? Entertaining and hosting ideas? Let me know!

I look forward to being able to put more time & creativity into SP&C in the new year, and I hope that you’ll continue to follow along and forgive my lengthy hiatus in 2017.

Thank y’all for taking the time to read my little corner of the internet, and here’s to a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2018!  Cheers & Happy New Year!

I can relate 2017 was a disaster for me. But I too look at 2018 as a better year… the Master Bath looks amazing…everything you mentioned about what to blog on sounds great.

I’m in the process of remodeling my master bathroom and am looking for a quartz counter top that looks like marble. Love the look of yours in the picture. What is it?.

Thanks, Monica! The counter top is marble, it came with the pre-made vanity. I HIGHLY recommend quartz though! I used an all white Cosentino quartz for my kitchen and love it. It’s extremely durable and easy to maintain. They have some great marble-looking options too, I think. Good luck on the remodel!
